THE MAN OKAFOR
Rev Joseph Nkeonyeasoa George Okafor was born to the family of Mr. & Mrs George Okafor of Agidiasei Quarters Ogwashi-Uku in Aniocha South L.G.A of Delta State on 20th June, 1954.
He began his educational career at Local Authority Primary School in 1960. He answered call into full time ministry in 1979 and graduated from South West Advance School of Theology in 1981. Rev Okafor pioneered Mile 12 Church in 1980 before going to pioneer Ogba Church in 1982. He purchased the Ogba church land within his tenor that lasted till 1988.

Rev Okafor was transferred to Amuwo-Odofin church where he acquired a landed property for the church among other achievements between 1988 and 1994. He came to Itire church in 1994 and purchased additional landed property for the church and built a church parsonage before being transferred to Ogba church for a second missionary journey in ministry in 1998. At Ogba, he laid foundation for the church parsonage before he was taking to Akowonjo where he completed and dedicated the church building between 2004 and 2009.
Rev J.N.G Okafor was appointed the District Sunday School Coordinator in 1986 and was there till 1993 when he was elected a Presbyter of the Lagos District.1996. He was appointed a Sectional Leader in 1998 and elected Lagos District Treasurer in 2004. He had served in the Easter Retreat Committee as both the District and Zonal Chairman of the committee. Rev Okafor known for his generosity even when it will cost him a denial of his personal rights was elected District Superintendent of Lagos District in March 2009.
Rev Okafor holds a TC II certificate from National teachers Institute, an OND in Education management from Olabisi Onabanjo University, a Bachelor of Arts degree from Nigerian Advanced School Theology Ewu, a Bachelor of Education from Adekunle Ajasin University and a Masters degree from University of Lagos. He is a pastor, teacher and councilor. He loves listening to news, table tennis and site seeing.
Rev Okafor is married to Mrs Helen C. Okafor and they are blessed with six children.
